The battery must be charged in a well-ventilated area with a suitable charger that can feed a tenth of the battery capacity to avoid premature destruction. You are therefore advised to go to a registered dealer to carry out this operation.
Batteries contain sulphuric acid. Do not allow it to come into contact with skin or eyes. While the battery is charging, it can release explosive gases. Keep sources of sparks, flames and incandescent products away from it.
Battery fluid shall b e top p ed up after full charge of the battery and with demineralized water only.
Maintenance-free batteries
A maintenance-fre e battery m u st never be opened for topping up.
Battery requiring maintenance
Chec k and top up the level between the "UPPER" (maximum) and "LOWER" (minimum) marks.
Fuses
The electrical installation is protected by a 7.5A fus e. (A)
If a fuse often blows this is usu ally a sign of a short circuit in the electrical circuit. You are a d vised to have the system checked by a registered dealer.
You are advised to switch off the ignition before changing a fuse and always to replace it with a fuse of the same rating. If you do not do so, this may lead to damage in the electrical circuit or even a fire.
Bulb replacement
Headlight bulb/Indicator bulbs
- Remove the front fairing. (1)
You are advised to contact a registered dealer to have this operation carried out.
Under certain climatic conditions (low temperatures, hu midity). The presence of mist on the inside of the headlight glass is normal.
It disappears a few minutes after the lights are switched on..
Rear light and indicator bulbs
- Remove the 2 screws that secure the taillight lens. (2)
Headlight adjustment
The headlight is adjusted using a screw whic h can be accessed from the rear shield panel. (A)

The right lever controls the front brake and the left lever controls the rear brake. For good braking, it is very important to coordinate the following actions: Close the throttle. Operate the left and right brake levers simultaneously and slowly increase the pressure.
